Community
Community is a time for our class to have learning experiences at various places in Glenview as well as in the surrounding communities. We practice skills such as:
Navigating a store, pushing a cart, staying with the group, using a shopping list, asking for help, purchasing items, waiting in a restaurant, ordering from a menu, waiting patiently, street safety, parking lot safety, strangers vs. community helpers, etc.

Target, Jewel, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot/Menards, Golf Mill, Wal-Mart, Classic Bowl, Costco, The Park Center, Michael’s Crafts, IHOP, Kohl’s Children’s Museum, Steak & Shake, Wagner Farm, The Grove, local forrest preserves, Walgreens, Walker Brothers, Glenview Post Office, PetSmart, Glenview Public Library, Northbrook Public Library, Goody’s, Corner Bakery, Dollar Tree, Dairy Bar, Oberweiss, Railroad Junction, Hallmark Store, Glenview Police Department, & Glenview Fire Department.
